Audi
Audi is a German automotive brand founded in 1909 in Zwickau, Germany. The company's headquarters is located in Ingolstadt, Germany. The Audi Group includes its parent company and subsidiaries Audi Hungary, quattro GmbH, as well as Lamborghini and Cosworth. Audi also has production plants in China, Malaysia, and South Africa, among other locations.
In 1910, the company introduced its first car, the Audi Type A. It was a small vehicle with a 10 horsepower engine, designed for urban use. In 1920, Audi merged with other German car manufacturers (Horch, DKW, and Wanderer) to form the Auto Union company.
In 1932, the company launched its first premium car, the Audi Front, equipped with a powerful 50 horsepower engine.
In 1965, Volkswagen Group acquired Auto Union, integrating the Audi brand into the group.
In 1970, Audi introduced its first all-wheel-drive model, the Audi Quattro, which became a hallmark of the brand.
