Toyota
Toyota is one of the world's top ten automotive companies and the largest automotive company globally. Kiichiro Toyoda established the automotive department within the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works in 1933, and in 1937, the automotive department separated to form Toyota Motor Company.
In the 1960s, Toyota continued its development and introduced new models such as the Corolla and 2000GT, while also experimenting with new technologies like fuel injection. In the 1970s, Toyota solidified its position in the automotive market by launching new models like the Celica and Supra, and also started producing compact cars like the Corolla and Starlet.
In the 1980s, Toyota further expanded its lineup with new models such as the Camry and MR2, and began producing front-wheel drive passenger cars like the Tercel and Corolla. In the 1990s, Toyota strengthened its position in the global automotive market by introducing new models like the RAV4 and Prius, and began producing crossover vehicles like the Land Cruiser Prado and 4Runner.
In the 2000s, Toyota continued its growth and introduced new models like the Camry XV30 and Yaris, and also started producing hybrid vehicles such as the Prius and Highlander Hybrid. Toyota is one of the world's top three companies in terms of car sales volume, revenue, and brand recognition.
In the Chinese market, Toyota has two major partners: FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota. FAW Toyota was established in 1998 and is headquartered in Changchun, Jilin Province, China. Its main products include the Corolla, Crown, and RAV4. GAC Toyota was established in 2004 and is headquartered in Guangzhou, China. It enjoys a high reputation and its main product lines include the Camry, Highlander, and Land Cruiser Prado.
